I have spent the last 2 days troubleshooting a problem with the PMDG 737-700. I had updated the AIRAC via Navigraph Hub, (outside the sim) CDU displayed correct AIRC cycle (2604) But certain airports I could fly into with no problems but then to do turn around and leave the same airport, as soon as I would try to enter the simbrief flight plan it would freeze the sim. No way out except to use Task manager to shut it down. KGEG was the first one that failed, then this morning couldn’t get out of KSAN. Removing all my updates via the Navigraph Hub for all my PMDG aircraft, reset version to 2512, restarted sim and everything just worked (other than AIRAC cycle being out of date). After reviewing my notes, I had updated the AIRC cycle early morning, but later that day ASOBO did a mandatory update. I am wondering if this screwed up the already downloaded AIRC update. Will try to check this to see if that is what caused the issue.
Infinitely repeatable. I updated through the PMDG EFB tablet to current AIRC 2604 while loaded at KSAN, flight went fine. Then tried KGEG again with AIRC 2604 installed, Sim froze as soon as I went to request flightplan. Task manager end MSFS2020, open Navigraph Hub remove the update from PMDG 737-700 again, start sim, load into KGEG same gate, works like normal with no issues other than AIRC out of date.
This latest airac also freezing MFS 2024
Hi,
You wrote it is reproducible, and you wrote it happens when you press “request flightplan”…
So my question is, what flightplan do you request? Is it important to know or does this happen on every flightplan from/to KGEG?
Is this flightplan from SimBrief, built with the same AIRAC cycle?
Cheers
Richard
It also happened in KSAN, KOAK today. Sim runs fine until I go to request flight plan then freezes, requires Task manager to shut down. An interesting aside, today on our Group VA flight, one of our pilots flying the IniBuilds A350 experienced the same freezing of sim MSFS2024. As far as the simbrief AIRAC cycle, dont think that is an issue that I can control, and I never get to the flight plan anyway, as soon as I press request flight plan on the FMC it freezes the sim, remove the latest 2604 AIRAC and load the exact same flight plan and it works without a hickup other than the Nav Data out of date message.
Please post the flight plan from SimBrief in plain text so we can test it.
Further, when you enter such flights manually, does this happen as well?
Lastly, do you have a vanilla installation, or are any 3rd-party packages installed? When yes, which one …
Please upload your content.xml file here.
Thank you
Richard
its not one specific flight plan. So for instance this morning I remove the AIRAC 2604 cycle via the Navigraph hub. Then I loaded into the sim at KSAN, everything ok, I then loaded the AIRC via the PMDG EFB Tablet, it updated and was ok, flight was to KOAK. Then planned a flight out of KOAK Sim froze as soon as I go to load a flight plan. Remove 2604 via Navigraph hub, restart sim, load the flight again but now it has AIRC 2512 as Nav data, works like a charm
I’ll check the 737-800 tomorrow to see if it happens to it.
Ok, that means when I load a flightplan from/to KGEG, it should be reproducible…
Will test it. I also need all the other requested information, please.
Cheers
Richard
What I know for sure:
Problem is Not airport specific, I have PMDG 737-700 (marketplace version) -800 direct from PMDG.
All updates from PMDG have been completed to date. Scenario is as follows: Load into sim like always, push FMC button – Enter Ref Airport – press Route button – Then push flight plan request button. If I am on AIRC 2604 sim immediately freezes (task manager report Flight sim not responding have to end task.
If I am on AIRC 2512, which is what it defaults to after I remove via Navigraph Hub, I move through the FMC as always. I can load into sim on 2512, then go to EFB and update Navigraph data to 2604, then enter all the data and it will complete the flight. As soon as I start a new flight (from anywhere) it will freeze the sim as soon as I push Flight Plan request button, while on 2604.
I have tried this with both the PMDG 737-700 and 800. I loaded up the same airport (KTUS this time) in the B777-200ER which was updated via Navigraph Hub to 2604, It loads and does not exhibit the same problem as the B737 series, flight is setup and continues normally on the 200ER. Problem seems to be focused on the PMDG 737 series.
One other observance, I had loaded the AIRC 2604 via Navigraph Hub first thing in the morning before starting sim on the day it released. I did a flight that was uneventful in the 737-700, then Asobo did it’s Manditory update, and this is when the problem started. But I can’t count how many times I have removed and reinstalled via the hub and the EFB tablet, never get error warnings, but the problem manifests itself every time as above.
Let me know if you want me to try or check anything else.
One other observance, whether I load the SimBrief flight plan in the EFB before hitting route request doesn’t matter, still freezes on 2604.

Hi Greg,
Is this issue resolved?
If not please provide the information Richard has requested:
If there are any addon scenery, try disabling/removing.
Please upload content.xml.
Please provide the flight plan causing a failure in a copiable text form
Cheers
Ian
No am hoping that the next AIRC cycle will sort it out, I’ll make sure Asobo do their thing before I use Navigraph Hub. Its very weird, cause it changes itself every 2-4 flights. I remove all updates in Navigraph Hub, then 2-4 flights later it changes from Install in the hub to Update, with out me doing anything. When it does the change it will Freeze the sim until I go back to Navigraph Hub and click remove and then restart the sim, and then I can fly again. So Fingers crossed, otherwise I will have to try wiping Navigraph and maybe my PMDG aircraft cause it does it with all of them. sigh, thanks for reaching out, I’ll let you know what happens after the next AIRC cycle .
Greg
No probs, the next AIRAC is this Thursday.
Cheers
Ian
Hi Ian, unfortunately the update did not fix the ongoing issue.
So I tried to uninstall the Navigraph Hub app. Used Uninstall in windows, then I deleted navigraph-navdata & navigraph-navdata-base from the community folder.
Then in the Appdata\Local folder, I deleted the navigraph-hub-updater folder . Next I went to AppData\Roaming folder and deleted the navigraph-hub folder.
I then re booted my PC and downloaded the Navigraph Hub installer, when I went to run it, it said Navigraph hub was already running! How is this possible? Is there any way to uninstall the Navigraph Hub and start with No Navigraph Nav Data on my system, so I can perform a clean install?
I am completely at a loss over this behavior. I am going to try the Fenix tomorrow and see if the problem follows me there. Am open to any suggestions as to where to look next.
Thanks
Greg
Greg, it would be very nice (and possibly more helpful, given the amount of text) if you could answer my post and give us the requested questions.
Thank you

Hi Richard, the 3rd party apps I run with sim are: Mobiflight, FSUIPC 7, Flight Sim Builder Hub, SimApp Pro, SpadneXt, Landing Rate Monitor (LRM), AFC Bridge (Honeycomb Bravo Lights), Pop Out Panel Manager, SmartCars 3 (TFDI), Rex Acuseasons and GSX Pro. All the flight plans I fly are done using SimBrief. I do believe that I have found the culprit, Navigraph Hub running on windows startup. in the System Tray. Saturday am I went into Sys Tray and Quit the Navigraph hub there and have made 9 flights with no more issues on current AIRC, which is more than I was able to do for the past month (usually 2-3) with out rolling back the Nav Data. I can’t say when this was added to Windows start up options, but this is the only change made that has seemingly fixed the issue. I don’t know whether Navigraph Hub should be running in the background, but everything seems to be working as per normal with it turned off. Thanks for your support, if you have any questions feel free to reach out, as I take lots of notes when troubleshooting these types of issues. Greg
