AIRAC 2607 doesn't appear to work in any G3000 Airplane

I’m having an impossible time trying to import or use any flight plan on AIRAC 2607 on MSFS24. I did not get a chance to try on other aircraft but both aircraft using the G3000 would stall out with the Importing loading screen just sitting there forever. Routes and what not would show in the EFB, Simbrief appeared to be fine, but I could not use the in sim data at all. Whether importing or entering manually, i.e. the Calverton VOR (CCC) would just respond “Searching…” endlessly.

I saw a post from previous that suggested removing SIDs and STARs in simbrief and regenerating but the route I was using was between two airports without SIDs and STARs.

I tried this route between KTTN-KBED: DCT DITCH T416 JIMEE DCT WAVEY DCT SHIPP DCT CCC DCT YANTC DCT and I also tried KBOS to KFLL. The first route would show DITCH up to SHIPP but nothing after that. KBOS-KFLL brought in both the SID and STAR but would not let me enter any waypoints in between.

I tried uninstalling the AIRAC through the hub, and deleting all navigraph folders in Community folder plus the content.xml to let it regenerate.

Thanks,

Sean

Discord if you’d like to see examples

Hi Sean,
Try the other way. Move all (or at least all scenery) packages/folders outside the community folder (so they can’t be loaded from the sim), excluding the navigraph packages/folder.

Restart the sim and try the import again, please.

I have made some tests, as an example: to find the CCC VORDME - it works:

… and also your example flightplan - working as expected:

You see, it is working, so it is more of an isolated issue on your system. Therefore, my suggestion above.

Cheers
Richard

I will try but what I don’t understand is I didn’t change anything to the sim between Sunday (when I completed three legs with no issues) and Monday where the only delta was the AIRAC cycle. No new scenery, aircraft or anything of that nature.

More so for my understanding if you’ll indulge me, how would scenery even modify the navaid database? We aren’t adding or subtracting fixes are we by adding scenery? Specifically on the link between Simbrief and the import?

Hi,
Sorry, I can´t answer this - I have not enough knowledge about the internal process of the sim and it would be unprofessional for me to give you any not confirmed “solution”, I´m sorry. I don´t have any 3rd-party packages/scenarios installed in my community folder, and therefore my assumption is that this could be the “key” but again, I only bring the data into the sim according the official MSFS SDK.

Cheers,
Richard

A reinstall of the phenom and sovereign and reinstalling the navigraph hub forced a re-sign in and it appears to have fixed my issue. Although it requires me to log in and out of the aircraft every time.

Just kidding, sim reboot and it’s broken again…

Please try moving out all addon scenery, confirm it works, then add each back individually until the error occurs.

Cheers

Ian

Ian,

As written previously I only have aircraft add ons in my community folder and continues to not work. It’s incredibly frustrating that this forum is riddled with the same issues and I’ve tried every suggestion here, and in other mediums, and despite my telling you it is not working the only feedback I receive from Navigraph is to throw hands up and say it’s bad scenery somewhere. Particularly when the only change I made from the day it was working, to the day it was no longer working, was updated the AIRAC…

My community folder has the Fenix and only PMDG in it and it continues not to work.

It seems this isn’t an addon scenery issue. I can’t reproduce the issue either.

Please try the latest Avionics Plugin G3000/G5000 v2.4.0

Cheers

Sean,
Possibly a silly question, but when you create a flightplan in SimBrief, do you enable the Detailed NavLog in SimBrief before you generate the flightplan?

It is a setting directly in SimBrief:

Thank you Ian,

Honestly I have not looked at that setting before, I will attempt swapping it around tonight when I get home. It’s very strange when I have import issues and when it seems to work as intended, it oddly enough seems to be contained to fixes around the New York/Boston area. A couple of days ago I was able to import KSFO-KLAX no issues, I tried KSGF-KFLL and the import was clean (I was away from the airport pairings so I wasn’t looking at the map, just bringing in random dispatches to see if anything was working).

If I brought N90 or Boston area airport in to any destination or any destination from outside to somewhere in the Northeast it would tank for the most part and seemed heavily depended on runway config, and STARs to any of those airports. Sometimes the import won’t work at all depending on route and runway, sometimes it DOES import but then as you can see the route shows in the GTCs but I can’t go direct to any fixes or they don’t show on the map.

I couldn’t bring in BOS-FLL, but could bring in FLL-BOS. Couldn’t do TTN-BED, or BED-LGB. BOS-ORD didn’t work but ORD-LGA did.

I’m not sure what’s going on, it’s hard to reproduce, ironically I thought maybe one intersection or airway might be causing the issue but simbrief didn’t generate any common airways or intersections in those examples. And as you mentioned, others in my communities have not been able to recreate it.

I’ll try the detailed navaid option when I get home from work tonight but I use generic simbrief settings and often aren’t changing much.

Sean

Also I did update the plugins yesterday as the first step because I saw there had been an update. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled all plugs in and AIRACs a few times throughout the last three days.

Thanks, Sean - this setting is important (enabled) so that all waypoints will be transferred into the sim. When you disable it, the waypoints between the destination and the arrival airport will be suppressed. Therefore, my question. Again, it is a possible silly question, but worth checking, I guess.

Cheers & thanks for your help
Richard

Richard, when I go back to edit my OFP from yesterday the Detailed NavData is selected by default

It was only an idea, Sean, thanks for checking. May I ask what happened when you tried to import this flightplan in the stock Cessna Citation Longitude with our plugin installed?

Only as a cross-reference …

Thanks, Sean, and sorry that this idea was not successful

Cheers
Richard

Richard, no change in the longitude. I also tried some of the waypoints in the Caravan G1000 and got endless searching of some waypoints. It’s almost like the sim data and the navigraph data did not merge correctly and one or both are stuck in purgatory.

Thanks, Sean, very strange … can I request one more part? Can you upload your content.xml file here so we can check it?

Also, could you provide a brief overview of your system? Do you use the store or the Steam version? I assume we are speaking from the stable version, not any SU beta? Right? Which add-ons do you have installed besides the Phenom (webshop or marketplace)?

Thanks again, Sean, for your help. Your case seems unique, but I need to know what it is. Possibly we can handle equal cases faster and/or we can avoid it before it happens.

Cheers
Richard
