787-10 no longer recognizing waypoints in simbrief flight plans - "MANSEQ"

as of the latest small update package the 787-10 is no longer recognizing waypoints from simbrief flight plans. I have tried 2 different flightplans with the same result. all waypoints are removed. On the VFR map it shows “MANSEQ”.

PS: I recreated the route using only the world map in MSFS and it loaded 100% of the waypoints.

Route: CYFC/09 DCT AMIXU DCT XETIR DCT UKNUM DCT MUNLO DCT OTSUK DCT YJH DCT FEGUD DCT BARHA DCT KBGR/I33

Hm,
Not sure what you expect now from us? We have nothing todo with the 787 - we “only” offer the data and when you can enter the data in the WorldMap all waypoints are included and working. In my eyes, it´s more a ASOBO/MS/WT issue rather a navdata issue. Or do I misunderstand something here - than sorry.

Cheers,
Richard

Presumably the intent is to have your simbrief plans be compatible with MSFS…something MSFS changed in the latest update is causing your product to no longer work properly. I assumed you would want to know.

Correct, and you see that the SimBrief plan works in MSFS when you enter it manually, so the data are available and working … but to load an external flightplan is a functionality which ASOBO/MS/WT implements and when it´s not working properly any longer, than it looks that they have changed something internally.

Possible that they don´t want the SimBrief integration any longer in their a/c - who knows?

From the data point of view, I can´t see any issue - sorry.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi…,

In addition to Richard’s posts, the flight plan
CYFC/09 DCT AMIXU DCT XETIR DCT UKNUM DCT MUNLO DCT OTSUK DCT YJH DCT FEGUD DCT BARHA DCT KBGR/I33 loads happily into the MSFS 787-10 FMC.

Cheers
Ian

Yes I can see that it loads, its just the load flightplan function that for some reason isn’t parsing the Plan Files correctly. Further testing shows this affects Little Navmap plans too so I’m sure someone else will post to the MSFS zendesk as I have. As a developer are you able to submit priority requests to Asobo?

We have limited influence with ASOBO. Best for you to pursue with them.

Ian

Official response, surprised how fast they got back to me–

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today.

We are aware of an issue where, in some cases, flight plan from World Map doesn’t show correctly inside the cockpit and/or VFR map.

This is caused by Avionics and Aircrafts updates that started in January 2023. These updates improve the planes and make them closer to their real-life counterparts. The team responsible for these updates are investigating the issue.

We have seen this affecting the following planes:

Boeing 747
Boeing 787-10
Citation CJ4
All planes using Garmin Avionics (G430/G530, G1000, G3000, G5000)

We are unable to provide information when the issue will be fixed, but in the meantime, you can do the following:

Create your flight plan on the World Map
Write it down
Delete the flight plan
Choose only departure airport and gate
Select "Fly"
When in cockpit, enter the flight plan manually

One thing that hasn’t been mentioned here (as far as I can tell) is that the 787 can import flight plans directly from Simbrief without going through the World Map at all.

Tim
