I noticed that the 777F’s fuel consumption is much too high in the sim compared to the sim brief profile. I’m currently flying EDDP - OMDB and am consuming significantly more fuel than planned. About 5 to 6 tons more, to be exact. The calculated fuel quantity at the destination is continuously decreasing and is already below finres + alternate at about halfway through the flight. And that’s despite having a constant tailwind (P027). Can you adjust your profile?
Edit: According to my flightplan I should have burned 43.4 Tons at OMDB. After “refueling” mid flight to the value it should have been at the waypoint I ended up burning 51.3 tons. Again: With constant tailwind.
Hi, it’s probably best to contact PMDG support about this.
A huge number of users use SimBrief with the PMDG 777 every day, and normally the fuel calculations are correct. But I have heard in rare cases the simulator’s real-world weather can cause this bug. Not sure if PMDG ever identified exactly what triggers it, but they may be able to recommend something or investigate further if you reach out to them.
Best regards,
