unable to restore EFB v2 db using my backup cycle “1902”

Post by zorro67 » Fri Mar 01, 2019 12:25 pm

Hi,

I needed to reinstall my EFBv2 and now I am unable to update/restore EFB v2 db using my backup cycle “1902”, please advise

To info:
- win 10/64b
- Not done any change to “FMS Data Manager/FMS-DM” (same version).
- All I did was reinstalling EFBv2.
- No antivirus enabled
- no auc enabled
- all is done with admin account

Issue:
- Fails when trying to restore EFBv2.
- EFBv2 is availed in FMS-DM and I can select restore(from my backup) “1902” all fine, but when I try to retore EFBv2 using
“FMS DM” it just fails with message “error -- no valid subscription".

Please advise,

Søren,
EFBv2 is availed in FMS-DM and I can select restore(from my backup) “1902” all fine
If "all fine", then what is the problem?

If you press the "Update" button then you will get the no subscription error, because pressing update will download the current data (1903) from the server and that requires a subscription. But you shouldn't do this to restore, you should only use the restore button. When you have done so the cycle button will turn purple and say "1902 rev 1". When you hover that button with the mouse it will say "A backup from [date] is installed.".

If this isn't working then please post two screenshots of your FMS DM window, the Addon List and the Addon Mappings views.

Regards,

Stephen
