IFly question

Post by ehasanov74 » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:30 am

Hi
Does new cycle support RF legs?
As I know Navigraph has yet to catch on to the RF leg portion of their data.
Without them, unable to fly RNP approaches.
Thanks
Edin

Sorry Edin - overseen the question ...

Normally yes, there are RF legs included in the new source but I'm not 100% sure, if I have implemented it in the iFly output - I will cross-check this and will come back with the answer!
Thank you,
Richard
Kind regards,
Richard

Hi Edin,
yes, RF legs are included but I'm not 100% sure, if iFly support this kind of leg path

Here is the RNAV33 procedure in LOWS, where the red lines are the RF leg path lines:

Hi
Thanks for reply
I know that iFly support RF type legs because You can fly it with default database (Aerosoft)
The question is can iFly interpret this format to use it correctly.
As I'm informed through various forums Navighraph has the proper format, but don't have the DATA (turn heading and radius distance).
I'm not the expert with navdata format, this is info from various forums.
So, will Navigraph include this data in the future?
Or Aerosoft is only choice when iFly is in question.

Thanks

Edin

There is still (1304) data missing from the RF type legs - the turn and radius data is still not present. I hope that it will appear in 1305, along with the ILS labels that allow multiple frequencies per runway if required (like EDDF).

Hi DJ, hi Edin,
the missing information are still present and you can expect a correct RF-leg within AIRAC 1305. Thanks for the hint guys!
Cheers,
Richard
