Zibo737 Approach Ref page disappeared

Hi, since AIRAC cycle 2511 rev 2 I have an issue with XP11 Zibo WIN 11.

Normally on the approach page (APPROACH REF) you have on the left bottom side the info of the DESTINATION AIRPORT/RWY, The ILS number (for ex 25RY) and below the frequency and heading for this ILS (for ex 109,75 /246.

Since the issue we had in cycle 2511 and the correction in rev 2 This info in page APPROACH REF disappear when taking off (actually it seems when retracting the flaps when taking off).

At the same time the ILS and transition which where marked as selected are not selected anymore.

When I saw this the first time I re selected the ILS and transition with the result that I had double the route and had to delete one. Today I did not do this although the info stated above disappeared when taking off and just ignored the fact that this info is not visible anymore and could land with ILS without pb.

Therefore this info which was always there until landing before and disappear since rev2 when taking off has no impact on the landing but normally it should remain there until landing as it was the case before rev 2.

Could you please have a look at this.

Thanks!!

Hi,
Thank you for your report, but it is doubtful that this has something to do with the data because what you explain is a logical argument, and we offer only the data, but no logic behind it.

There are postings in Zibo that haven’t reported any issues like yours

See here:

However, we are building a new revision for X-Plane because revision 2 was incomplete. Revision 3 should be online on Wednesday (tomorrow). Again, I can’t really believe that this revision solves your issue …

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard, thanks for your reply. I will make a test flight with some older data from you, if the pb does not appear it would have something to do with your data. I will let you know. Meanwhile perhaps you could also test it OR ANYBODY ELSE WHO IS USING ZIBO COULD TEST IT (just check if in the approach page the ILS info on the left bottom side desappear when taking off and also that the ILS and transition you selected is not selected anymore).

The thing is that it has no effect on the flight and on the route so if you do not check it on purpose you might not realise that this issue arrised.

Thanks and from my side I will also let you know…

Hi,
I have found a similar issue:

This was with AIRAC 2208 … So, I’m pretty sure now that this is an addon rather than a data issue. I also would not know how I can handle this and why/how the data can be cleared this page?!

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,

I did the same flight again with AIRRAC 2503 and the problem is the same but I am still wondering if for specific SIDS or STARS there could not be still some problems in your Data that creates this kind of issue in specific cases (specific SIDS etc…).

The situation where I get the issue is following:

EDDK 13L to EDDF 25R with SID COL (4F or 4X both same problem) and STAR ROLIS 5A with ILS Y 25R.

With both SIDS when I pass 2000 feet the info in the APPROACH page disappear.

When I use the SID KUMI2Q (which also passes COL but with one additional segment to KUMIK) instead of COL no problem the info remains in the approach page!

If I use KUMI2Q as a SID and delete KUMIX to get the same route as if I would use COL it deletes the info in the approach page exactly when I delete KUMIX (as a result COL and ROLIS (first STAR point) are not separated by KUMIX anymore).

If I use KUMI2Q as a SID and wait to pass COL when flying and then make a DCT to ROLIS then the info in the approach page remains.

Could you please still double check if there could be anything in these specific AIRRAC datas that could be generating this specic problem especially the COL SID and the COL and ROLIS waypoints…

Thanks a lot!!

Hi,
No, there is no issue (at least with the latest revision 3) in the data. But as you and I had figured out, it is cycle independent.

I´m nearly 100% sure that this issue is not data-related; it is addon-related. Have you tried the same with the stock 737? Because both (the stock 737 and the Zibo 737) use the same data in the background.

Have you reported your question in the Zibo forum too? What have they said?

Cheers,
Richard

Yes I have but need to do it again with the latest info from today… If I get some interesting feedback I will share it here.

HI RICHARD, FOR YOUR INFO BELOW THE POST I DID TODAY ON XPLANE FORUM:

So I did another test flight from EDDK 13L to EDDF 25R with SID KUMI8F and STAR ROLI5A and the approach info remained on the approach page in the FMC and no crash as it was the case most of the time with SID COLA4F.

So there is defenitely a problem with the SID COLA4F. NAVIGRAPH said that it is not possible that the reason comes from the AIRRAC it must be a problem on ZIBO side.

Therefore @zibo could you please have a look at this and check if there is a problem on your side. I summarize again, when flyying from EDDK 13L to EDDF 25R with SID COLA4F and STAR ROLI5A and ILS Y25R the ILS info on the approach page disappear after take off at around 2000 feet, ILS and transition are not shown as ACT anymore on the ARR/DEP page once this info disappeared from the approach page (although they were active before take off) and this leads most of the time to a system crash. With another SID such as KUMI8F all is normal (ILS info remains on approach page and no crash). System info latest XP11 and latest ZIBO with WIN 11.

THANK YOU!!
