Hi all, hadn’t flown for awhile and so updated PMDG FMC & SIMBRIEF to AIRAC 2309 and flew YSRI - YBNA. Reappearing on my route was waypoint TOJAM which has been replaced by OMKAX. Can someone please look into this.

We are not aware of that change in the AIP. Please provide an authoritative reference to TOJAM being replaced by OMKAX.

Thanks for quick reply. TOJAM was replaced by OMKAX on H185 a few years ago (Current chart below). Maybe it’s still there just not on the route - I’ll check when I’m at work next week and get back to you.

that´s correct and we have also OMKAX on airway H185. TOJAM isn´t a waypoint on this airway any longer but that doesn´t mean, that this waypoint will be removed automatically.
TOJAM is necessary for two enroute holdings and therefore still included but it´s not part of the H185 airway.

On the AIRAC update 17/06/2021 TOJAM was removed from H185 as well as the YBBB FIR. (See attached). Current DAH (attached) shows TOJAM no longer exists in YBBB FIR.

Right, as I have written (and shown on the screenshots) before, also in our data/charts TOJAM is no longer a part of H185.

Hi Richard, I included the current copy of the relevant page of the AIP Designated Airspace Handbook to show that TOJAM is also no longer a waypoint of any description in YBBB FIR, and should be removed from your charts.

this waypoint isn’t existing for flightplaning right, but it exists as a temporary holding waypoint and only for this matter.
I have no idea how do you plan your flights, but in real when you use the H185 airway this waypoint will not shown. TOJAM doesn’t exist too in the enroute waypoints and I have confirmed it also in our data, but it’s still a defined holding and for this holding TOJAM still exist.
Again, I confirm that TOJAM doesn’t exist on H185, nor as a enroute waypoint but the TOJAM holding still exist.
But we will report this to our data provider, possible they remove it in any upcoming cycles, when it’s really no holding point too in real.

I was wrong, you were right sorry for that.
We have reported this and it seems, that this TOJAM is really removed. It will be double checked by the coding team now but when they also come to the same result, the waypoint (plus the holding) will be removed with AIRAC 2311.
Again, sorry for my wrong assumption and of course, the wrong answers. I expect the removal with 2311.
