As u can see in the picture above, i think there should at least be an option to have the overlayed traffic be above the route, sometimes it gets difficult to see them and also difficult to hover over them for info

So, this is a deliberate design choice, given that the flown route takes priority over the live traffic that may be flying around. If live traffic were to obscure the route, it would be difficult to manipulate the waypoints below, you would need to zoom in very close/wait for the traffic to pass before the clickspot opened up and you can click the waypoint.
Fair enough but from my usage of Navigraph Charts, i have always been bothered by the route having priority, Would it be possible to look at implementing an option toggle in the setting for future?

We’re looking at several options, like what you mentioned and hiding the route entirely. They are under consideration, including maybe even hiding the track itself. We’ll discuss internally.
