When using Charts + Simlink with the MSFS development camera and the plane is stationary, the location pointer on the chart moves round in a circle in one second steps. The radius is 2-3km.

I don’t believe that this is normal usage? We are reading your position from the simulator using variables that have been standardized since FSX, and there isn’t much we can do about what values it reports, unfortunately.
That said, I am not able to reproduce the issue. Do you have some sort of special setup?
