Third party Simlink for Linux any interest?

Simulator Version: X-Plane 12 for Linux

At a time when making multiplatform applications is so easy and the Linux desktop share is rising continuously, Navigraph seems to ignore the wishes of a part of its paying customers — for example, by not providing a Simlink Linux version.

Of course, it is possible to move to ForeFlight, which works out of the box with X-Plane 12 on Linux.

Before doing that, I tried one last thing: prototyping a Simlink Linux tool, which seems to work.

Is there any interest here for that kind of tool? If so, I will try to improve it and package it.

Very good ! Since the original post i extended the Simlink tool for Linux to be able to retrieve also the basic AIRAC for XP12 therefore a very basic FMS Manager.

The FMS Manager runs fine in Linux under Wine so no need for that, at least for me :wink:

But Simlink is really missing for us Linux users.

Some developer talked here Moving map support for X-Plane on Linux - #71 by FrankLFRS about using the X-Plane 12 UDP protocol or the local Web API (for their official Windows app). That would get us one step closer, too.
