# Simlink states it needs Sim link to run?

Hi,

I have the latest version of X-Plane 12 as well as the latest version of sim link installed. Sim link is up and running and detects x-Plane, your simlink status page shows the following.

My account name is shown with “sign out” on the right  
26.687628, -80.092957 @ 2023-03-03T22:28:29Z  
Server Returned HTTP Status 12163

Simlink version: 1.1.27.0906

My I-Pad is connected to my network and has access to the internet, yet whenever I try and run moving maps I get the following message.  
"Could not connect to simulator, simlink needs to be running. Read more about simlink here.

How do I fix this?
