This is a new one for me.. Simlink devouring ram. 113 gigabytes of it and freezing entire system.
Hello,
Welcome to the Navigraph forum!
The Navigraph Simlink application does not require much memory. Please check your macOS settings to ensure that the Simlink application has permission to access the necessary folder in the “Privacy & Security” section.
Additionally, please send us the Simlink log files, which can be found at: ~/Library/Application Support/Navigraph/Simlink/logs
Thank you!
Best Regards,

Hello Vishal.. worked fine for the last 6 months. Can’t upload the latest log file I’m afraid it’s 4.39 gigabytes in size!
Hello,
The log file is too large. You can rename it, and Simlink will generate a new log file.
It seems that there may be some restrictions on the Simlink application from the macOS settings. Please restart the Simlink application and let us know if the memory usage continues to increase.
Additionally, please send the log file from that same day.
Thank you!

Forced quit Simlink.. everything was fine for 6 days. Till this morning.
It happens when I complete a flight, park and shut down the plane but leave X-Plane running. Simlink is just running in the background continually generating endless of these error messages increasing the file size to 100 plus gigs and freezing the entire system:
There are literally thousands upon thousands of lines of this:

Never happens when I am in the sim.. only when I am away with sim running (but no map movement: ie, plane parked and totally shut down with zero activity) but Simlink apparently wide awake.
So is this huge memory leak not going to be fixed as it was in Windows?
Or we just going to ignore it and hope it will go away by itself?

Hello,
Thank you for providing the Simlink log details. From the log, it appears that Simlink is not blocking access to the internet for connecting to our Navigraph server.
Please check if you have any VPN or proxy enabled. If you are using a VPN or proxy, kindly disable it. Additionally, ensure that your internet router allows connections to the Navigraph server.
Could you also provide your macOS version? It’s a good idea to check the macOS network settings as they may be preventing the Simlink application from functioning properly.
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Vishal Ahir
