In the MD82 airframe editor I set the service ceiling to 30,000, yet often when a flight plan is generated using that airframe the cruise altitude will be set higher than that. Same with a few other planes. How do I get Simbrief to adhere to the cruise altitude value? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
P.S. – I wish every company that makes flight sims and flight sim add-ons did as good a job with their products/web site/support as Navigraph does. Highest rating.
I can’t reproduce this (service ceiling is respected unless I manually override the altitude input field), can you provide an example briefing and a link to the custom airframe you’re using?
@SimBrief perhaps the service ceiling should be respected even when entering the altitude manually? I was able to plan nonsensical cruise such as FL810 in the MD82
Hi, when selecting your aircraft in the Flight Options, make sure to also select your custom airframe from the “Variant or Airframe” list. Otherwise, your custom edits will not be applied to the flight plan:
(your airframe will likely appear towards the bottom of the list)
