Hi,
I have a route from EGPH to LFDH (AIRAC cycle 2605).
The route offered by SB contains an invalid WP/Airway “BAMBO”.
I know I can just delete it and generate the flight, no issue to me, just letting you know. ![]()
Kind regards, Neil.
Hi Neil,
EGPH-LFDG is an incredibly rare route that few users have flown, so there aren’t any good routes in SimBrief’s database. I do see that you generated EGPH-LFPG afterwards, which gave you a valid route due to being much more popular.
SimBrief has good route coverage for 99% of flights that users fly, but on certain rare routes there can be issues such as the one you saw.
For Navigraph Unlimited subscribers (Charts + Navigation Data), SimBrief will actually generate a fresh route from scratch for you if it doesn’t have a good route in the database. But this is a more advanced feature that is not available with a Navigation Data only subscription, since it relies on our Charts backend.
As I said, for 99% of flights this won’t be an issue anyways, but it is possible to see occasional route errors on rarely flown flights if you do not have a Navigraph Unlimited subscription.
Best regards,
Hi,
In effect you are saying that SimBrief found an old route that utilised a now non-existent waypoint or airway called “Bambo”?
Regards, Neil.
