tried the profile for the PA34 currently in but does not really work specially complaining bot the range a lot 600nm is an easy feat aczually and with te PA34 profile its always complaining but insufficent range. Inever even get the tanks emptied by 50% on a 600nm trip *g*
So be nice if some of you profile experts might do a proper profile for the seneca 2.

The advertised range of the PA34, from Wikipedia, is:
Range: 870 nmi (1,000 mi, 1,611 km) max fuel, econ cruise at 18,000 ft (5,500 m), no reserves
But you haven’t set your flight planning options the same way. Notably:
- The range figure specifies “no reserves”, but you have set lots of reserves in your flight. You set contingency fuel to “30 minutes”, instead of “none”. You set reserve fuel to “auto”, instead of “none”. And you set an alternate airport which is 140 nm away (SCCF), whereas “no reserves” means you should not select an alternate at all.
- All of this extra fuel must be left over at destination, so it means your destination cannot be as far away.
- You have set your cruise profile to 75PCT, whereas the max range figure specifies “ECON cruise”. For ECON cruise, you should set 45PCT in SimBrief.
If I set the following options, I can easily reach the advertised max range figure:
- Alternate Airport: NONE
- Cruise Profile: 45PCT
- Contingency Fuel: NONE
- Reserve Fuel: NONE
And just as a note, normally you actually would not want to set these options. Most pilots would typically want to have some fuel reserves and get to the destination faster.
So for most flights, you will have a bit less range than the advertised figure, which is perfectly ok and realistic. But on flights where you need to best range possible, you need to be careful to select the appropriate flight plan options described above.
