Hello,
I’m planing a flight from Bolzano (LIPB).
The SID for Runway 19 shows only the VIC1W transition, not the initial SID Forer1S.
This can cause problems when importing the route.

Hi,

We will investigate regarding the import issue, because simbrief is dispatching correctly.

To investigate this properly, can you let me know which simulator and addon you are using?

Thanks!

Olaf

Hi Olaf,

Why is simbrief dispatching correctly?

It only shows the Transition, not the SID

VIC1W ist one transition of the FORE1S SID

It was a friend who hast a problem with FENIX A319 in MSFS2024 while importing the Route via the AOC Function F-PLN INIT

Hi,

Displaying only VIC1W is the official/correct way to represent the FORE1S SID with VIC1W transition.

For example, when submitting this flight plan to the real-world Eurocontrol system, only VIC1W is accepted. Sending FORE1S will return an “Unknown Designator” error. Basically, FORE1S is implied when you send VIC1W, so only the latter should be included in the route.

Possibly the Fenix is not handling this edge case correctly, please report it to them via official support channels.

While your SimBrief OFP may show only VIC1W (in line with official Eurocontrol guidance), the SimBrief API (which Fenix is using in the backend) correctly transmits both the FORE1S SID and VIC1W transition. It’s up to Fenix to read this correctly however:

Thanks for this explanation.
Didn’t know this.

With kind regards
