I fly way too much long haul, and simbrief only allows for the passenger number, not including the crew. Should I compensate for this?
Simbrief adds the passengers and cargo to the OEW (operating empty weight), which in turn (as per e.g. WikipediA here, but also more generally):
The "Operating empty weight " (OEW) is the sum of the empty weight and the crew plus their baggage.
Thus the crew weight is included.
The OEW on Simbrief is fixed, whereas IRL dispatch is (probably?) able to adjust it depending on how many crew members are expected to be present on the flight.
However, in the context of the sim, the vast majority of addons have a fixed empty weight and do not simulate variable crew loads anyway.
