New AIRAC crashing MSFS20 w/ FSHud

Thanks for your work debugging this - I enjoyed a 1.5 hour flight in the uk with BATC active after deleting and reinstalling the airac - no CTD for me - working on this over a weekend is truly appreciated

Hi Richard,

Thank you as well for working on this. I still encounter the CTD atleast with FSHud. I switched to the FSHud default AIRAC for now, however I confirm, the reinstall for me didn’t work for some reason.

I have reached US airspace from London. There is heavy air traffic. FSLTL is active all the time. No crashes so far. I hope to reach Los Angeles.

Thanks for your kind words - it could be any other reasons too, as in one of the previous posts about the PMDG WASM crash. CTDs are very, very difficult to identify because we have no information (other than event logs) on why, where, or when they occur. MSFS is, for developers, more or less a black box.

I don“t want to ignore you or your issue, but I will make sure the data issue is resolved for most users, and it looks like the upload was the culprit.

Which A/C do you normally use? Do you have a test case for me to try to reproduce (like airport, aircraft, route, …)?

Cheers,
Richard

Don“t write while you fly :see_no_evil_monkey:

Good luck and a safe landing :us_outlying_islands:

Richard

Of course, I know you all are working very hard to resolve this. If you wanted to test I use the Fenix A320 series. All my test have been in the A319 at KMIA from Glideslope Pro. I’m running the beta 2.1.18 version of FSHud. One other big piece is I use AIG for traffic, but FSHud injects them into MSFS. So it reads their flightplans and controls the planes. I don’t use the AIG Traffic manager or anything.

Ahhh, ok, please reinstall the Fenix database via the Hub and try it again.
There was an error with duplicate airports, which I have fixed before these CTDs. Possibly you have downloaded the wrong package as one of the first customers

So, please go to the Hub and remove/install the Fenix data again - itĀ“s only a few minutes … after that, start the sim and test it again, please!

Crossing fingers,
Richard

So I just did that, and I’m switching back to the Navigraph version in FSHud, hopefully fingers crossed I can fly no issues.

Edit: I tried again, and switching back in FSHud crashed it :frowning: PS: I’m open to anyone who is using FSHud what they did to get this to work when on Rev 1. in FSHud. Any tips will help. Everything seems to be updated for me its just the conversation between FSHud and Rev 1. still seems a bit cloudy.

One more thing too, the fenix works GREAT with the new revision. But FSHud works until I switched it back. I’m not sure if its just a FSHud exclusive issue at this point now. I am running a test where I manually downloaded the AIRAC 2603 for FSHud in the downloads page and imported it locally over the subscription login. I’m seeing if this works too!

2nd Update: Crashed with the local download of AIRAC 2603 also :frowning:

I landed safely at Los Angeles International Airport after flying over 4800NM. FSLTL was active the entire time. There was extremely heavy air traffic on the approach. No CTD.
The previous PMDG WASM crash was not caused by a Navigraph bug. I was careless during the update process. (This has been fixed.)
Thanks for spotting the bug!

Thank you Richard.

Everything works fine now!

Hans-Peter

I donĀ“t know what you mean with ā€œagainā€ … I canĀ“t remember to see any report about ZSHC here in the forum.

We donĀ“t have any gates for ZSHC in our source, not for 2603 or the previous cycle. I have checked a few previous cycles, too, and there are no gates. The gates you saw didnĀ“t come from our data …

Cheers,
Richard

PS: Please avoid hijacking postings; this posting was primarily for FSHud CTDs in MSFS2020. When you have any additional questions or reports, please open a new topic to avoid mixing questions and answers.

We have now changed the revision to #2 for a better ā€œvisibilityā€ and a confirmation about a newer version!

Thanks to all for your patience and help in fixing this. I wish all a nice Sunday and enjoy your flights!

Cheers,
Richard
