### Simulator Version

MSFS 2020

### Operating System

Windows 11

### Description of the Issue

I am experiencing an issue where Navigraph Charts only tracks my flight path smoothly when the desktop application is actively in focus as the main window. The moment I minimize the app or open another window over it, the map stops updating. When I bring Charts back into focus, it simply draws a perfectly straight line from where I left focus to my current position, missing all the data points in between.

What I have tried so far to fix it:

- Verified Navigraph Simlink status panel, which explicitly confirms: _“Broadcasted flight data to server successfully”_ with live coordinates updating.
- Performed a deep reset of Simlink by deleting the `%appdata%\Navigraph\Simlink` cache folder and re-linking my account.
- Ensured my Windows system time is completely synchronized via internet atomic time.
- Signed out and back into the Charts desktop app to refresh account and session tokens.
- Toggled the “Enable Moving Map” crosshair icon off and on to break local loops.
- Switched the simulator graphics settings to Borderless Windowed mode to prevent full-screen app suspension.

Despite Simlink successfully sending data to the cloud servers in the background, the desktop viewer application itself completely drops its network sync the second it loses window focus. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Are you seeing Simlink react in the same way with Charts web?

If you click on the ownship icon, deselect ownship trail and reselect it again, does that fix the trail?

Hi…,

This issue similar to [Own ship trail doesn't follow ship](https://forum.navigraph.com/t/own-ship-trail-doesnt-follow-ship/23187) has been investigated and resolved. The fix will be provided in the next Charts release.

Thank you reporting it.

Cheers

Ian
