# Incorrect max cargo weight in iniBuilds A380 profiles

The values were set by iniBuilds themselves:

It does appear the person who came up with the profile at iniBuilds doesn’t know what he was doing and/or how Simbrief works, as the maximum cargo value does indeed also apply to luggage, meaning Simbrief will never exceed max\_cargo / bag\_weight i.e. 10300 / 50 = 206 bags, regardless of how many passengers are on board.

For example, this is what you get on the XML endpoint with a passenger count manually set to 400:

Notice how 400 bags were “requested” but only 206 were “loaded”.

I suspect the profile as designed to try and limit the amount of extra “freight” that can be added on top of passenger luggage, but not in a way that works.

Also, I am not sure that’s realistic, either; as I understand it, nowadays airlines will carry some amount of commercial cargo on top of passenger luggage, but I don’t have any A380-specific data that could give a realistic figure of what a typical/maximum extra freight value should be.

The airframes should be linked to someone’s Simbrief account at iniBuilds, so they can correct it without requiring intervention on Simbrief’s part, thus I would recommend contacting them about it.

FWIW, this was reported to iniBuilds already:
