# GPS coordinates do not match in Navigraph

I loaded a flight to GPS coordinates 42.63, -80.83. for a rescue flight from Neofly to Little Navmap. It showed the location, I loaded the coordinates into Navigraph ( KERI DCT 426300N0808300W DCT KERI ). It was not even close in Navigraph. I checked it by putting 42.63, -80.83 into google. It showed the proper location. Looking at Navigraph checking the area I plotted, Navigraph says it is 423811N084938W. Which map is correct? I have 2 showing the same location and Navigraph doesn’t.

Hi,
your calculation from decimal to DMS degrees is wrong. decimal degrees are not equal to DMS (decimal minute second) degrees. It"s not a 1:1 conversion. Therefore the location is different.
42.63 degrees = 423811N
-80.83 degrees = 084938W
426300N = 43.04
0808300W = -81.83
