Hello to all,

I’ve been trying to launch a flight from VHHH but as soon as I start BATC the sim crashes when it’s generating the traffic. It works correctly from the other airports I tried but not there. Tried with and without the scenery addons but the effect is the same.

Tried uninstalling the navigraph database and the sim works perfectly without it. But the same issue comes back when I download the data base again..

Does anyone have the same problem ?

… and with our data installed but without BATC, is it working?

I don´t have BATC but I can´t reproduce it with our data installed. So, when this works, it could also be an issue in the BATC application.

Cheers,
Richard

Thank you for your reply.

I just tried again without using BATC and it seems to work correctly with and without traffic injected.

I tried to start BATC and deselect the traffic in the settings of BATC and the sim crashes once BATC is done loading the flight.

It looks like there is some kind of miscommunication between the navigraph data and BATC at this specific moment and place. I already contacted BATC with my error logs and they answered that the software behaved correctly.

According to FS2020 logs the errors is : “Global Flow Level State G::LastFrame InState”.

I hope that this could help

Hi,
Thank you for your answer. I don’t know from where the log line is, but it’s not from us, therefore I can’t say anything about it.

The strange thing is that BATC seems to be the only add-on that causes such a CTD, and that this occurs in both simulators, even when they use different scenery concepts.

I have now checked the VHHH against the stock VHHH, and there are no real differences. Also, the MSFS tools we must use to build the BGL files show an error or a warning, so the file itself is ok (you would see such CTDs with other tools and/or the stock aircraft too if something is wrong with the data).

So, I’m not sure how we can help here. We don’t see any issues in the files, and, more importantly, we have no further tickets or postings here that could indicate an issue in the data.

We follow exactly the latest SDK rules from Microsoft/ASOBO. I guess BATC does it too, so it could be an Indifference somewhere in the sim. We are not an official MS/ASOBO partner, so our contacts are also limited to debugging something. Not sure if BATC is a partner, but since this CTD only occurs with BATC, I would see this as a task on their side to check with MS/ASOBO.

A second reason is that we don’t know how they use the SIM data. We don’t know their software, so it is tricky to understand their application, or to say what is wrong or not.

You wrote this happens only at VHHH, with and without 3rd-party scenery installed?

Have you tried deleting the `content.xml` file after removing the 3rd-party scenery?

Cheers
Richard

Indeed until now it only happened at VHHH with and without 3rd-pary scenery installed. I tried deleting the content.xml file after removing the addon, even after removing the GSX file on this airport.
