Fix Navigraph Hub Blank Purple Screen After New Login

Whenever I open the Navigraph Hub and it says “Sign Into Your Account” instead of showing all my plugins, I have the following problem.

  1. I click on “Sign Into Your Account”
  2. A browser window opens where I sign in, while Navigraph Hub shows a QR code
  3. I sign in via the browser window, which says I can now close it, so I do
  4. At this point, Navigraph Hub becomes a totally blank screen of purple, no list of plugins, nothing to click on, just purple.
  5. Navigraph Hub remains in this “PSOD” mode even after being restarted, sometimes for days, until there is some Navigraph plugin update, at which point the list of plugins returns and shows those needing updates.

The problem is, while Navigraph Hub is in the “PSOD” mode, I’m never fully sure that there hasn’t been an update somewhere that I just can’t see, although the experience so far (this has happened MANY times, including this past Monday, only solved by the Thursday AIRAC update) suggests that PSOD means no updates. Still, for my peace of mind, I would like the PSOD eliminated. Besides, it’s just sloppy work that it exists at all.

Hello! Welcome back!

This is of course unwanted/unexpected behavior from our point of view. I trust that you have tried the steps outlined in the several other topics on this matter in this forum?

I have added additional logging to your account to try to track it down! Please also follow these steps:

  1. Press Win + R
  2. Type %appdata%/navigraph-hub/logs and press enter
  3. In the Explorer window that opens, locate the main.log file
  4. Upload this file to your next post

Kind Regards,
Malte

Never knew that. Thanks.

Howdy Malte-

Here’s my log. Sorry for the delay. I didn’t realize at 1st you needed any input from me.

Thank you for the update!

Unfortunately, the log file you sent does not indicate any ongoing issues other than network problems. Those could just as well be caused by waking the computer from sleep, so they are not the issue. Recent log entries show that everything should be working normally.

How often do you see the purple screen? Are you able to use the Hub at all?

Have you tried to sign out when the purple screen appears? See this post:

Howdy Skysail-

Here’s what had just happened when I sent that log. I was about to fly MSFS so was checking for updates in general before starting the game. And the computer had been awake for several hours at this point, as I’d been doing social media. Anyway, with the computer wide awake and with my connection having been just fine for hours, I opened the Navigraph Hub. It said it had an update. The instant that update was completed and Navigraph hub relaunched, it had the purple screen. And it’s been purple ever since. It’s purple right now as I’m looking at it.

This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME Navigraph Hub updates by itself, with no package updates. The purple screen only goes away and is replaced by the normal list of packages when there is an update to 1 or more packages. Then I get the list of packages showing which ones need updating. Very occasionally, the Hub update coincides with 1 or more package updates. In that case, I do NOT get the purple screen. When the Hub relaunches after updating, it shows the list of packages and those needing updates. But most times, only the Hub updates so I get the purple screen until a package updates.

There is no way to sign out within Navigraph Hub. Just minimize, full-screen, and close.

Hmm, that sounds odd for many different reasons. We’ll need to investigate further.

There is a way to sign out, but it is quite well hidden unfortunately! Please see the link in my previous post, which should take you to another post of mine with steps and screenshots.
