EDDS airspace E

Hello,
In the VFR map the horizontal shape of the EDDS airspace D (5500-FL100) overlaps with airspace C (3500-5500) and additionally with an airspace E (1000-FL100).
In the DFS AIP VFR pages there is no EDDS airspace E shown.
The OpenFlightMaps pages show an EDDS airspace E but 1000-3500.
No clue which source is right.

Thanks, Holger

Hello! Thanks for posting!

This is likely because class E mainly applies to IFR traffic, perhaps warranting the removal of such airspace from VFR charts to reduce clutter.

You can find the specification for this particular airspace (along with the height restrictions) in the same AIP:

Notice the FL100 - 1000 ft AGL note at the bottom!

I hope that brings some clarity to the situation!

Kind Regards,
