Compensation for the squashed charts in VR

Regarding the compressed/squashed chart in the in-game panel in VR (at least on the Reverb G2). I’m not sure what has been said about it before, but would it be possible to have ‘compress’ and ‘uncompress’ buttons to manually squash and stretch the chart to compensate for the issue?

These buttons would be pressed repeatedly until the chart has a 1:1 aspect ratio. This could be assisted with a temporarily displayed circle (people are good at seeing if a circle isn’t completely round). This manual correction method could be done in lieu of an automatic correction. Any thoughts?

This technique is implemented in the in-game panel chart app “FS Kneeboard” and works fine.
