Hi …,

Charts 8 currently can not read FSC format flight plan.

Charts 8 can read FSX format flight plans. In FSC, Select and Save as MS Simulator X, which Charts 8 can then import.

Thanks for responding, Ian.

If Charts 8 can’t support FSX PLN formatted flight plans then it is of no use to me as I am not an MSFS user nor do I plan to be…

Charts 8 Technical Specifications lists FSX as one of the apps supported by Charts 8, cannot understand why these PLNs cannot be exported. Charts 7.7.1 had no issues processing FSC formatted PLNs for FS9 or FSX. Although have to admit that I don’t the format differences between flight plans formats. Fortunately still have the application on the desktop but not in the tablet.

Q: Where can Charts 7.7.1 be found to be downloaded again to the tablet?

Have the Ultimate subscription but if Charts 8 is of no use to me then I will considered not renewing the subscription until the “additional input formats” are added.

Charts 8 will not read FSC format files.

However Charts 8 can read FSX format files.

So for your flight plan MDSD to TJSJ in FSC, Save as MS Simulator X.

Depending on your path set up in FSC, you will likely find
c:\Users\your username\Documents\MDSDTJSJ.pln, which you can import into Charts 8 to produce:
