Hello. It´s been a couple of days since I get nothing when selecting AIRMET/CWA in weather. Are there any known issues happening ?
Thanks

We shall investigate.

Thank you for the feedback!
It seems like our weather provider (NOAA/AviationWeather) has made some significant changes, which we needed to adapt to in order for things to work again.
We have now rolled out a change that should restore the feature to a functional state. Let us know if you keep having issues!
Kind Regards,
Malte
Thanks for the attention!
I have version 8.38.3 installed both on my Ipad and Mac. The Mac app shows the airmets, and at the same time, on the Ipad, they are not shown. Would you have any ideia what could be causing this ?
Thanks
Eduardo
Hmm, that sounds odd. It could be a cache issue! Are you still seeing the same thing, even after restarting or reinstalling the application?
I have added some extra logging to your account to look further into this. Let me know if you see the issue again, and we’ll take a look!
Kind Regards,
Malte
Did some testing, worked fine !
Thanks for the attention and prompt response.
Eduardo
EDIT: unfortunately not. Flying right now, it’s not being shown again. ![]()
So, did some further testing, and when the airmets are displayed and I click on them, I get a yellow INOP message (an unexpected occurrence).
Thank you for the update!
Seems like there has been another regression on the aviationweather side. We’ll have a fix out in a couple minutes, feel free to try again and let us know how it works!
Hi. Unfortunately the issue persists. Sometimes the airmets are displayed, most of the times they are notz
I see. This may be a platform-specific issue.
We’ll investigate some more!
Thanks.
It happens with the Ipad app only. When I use the app on my Mac PC, it works fine.
Just to discard some likely suspects …
I installed the app on a new gen 6 ipad and logged in with a different account than mine and the issue persisted.
I did a 5 hour flight today, and for a brief period of 5-10 min the airmets/sigmets were displayed. All of a sudden they just dissapear and were not shown anymore.
Yeah, I am able to reproduce this.
We’re going to investigate this further as soon as we have available resources!
There is a strong likelyhood that the data we receive from our weather provider has changed in a way that causes some sort of issue in the mobile apps only. We’ll have to take a closer look.
Hello. Thanks for the answer !
Did some flights yesterday and one today and it worked fine. I’ll report back and it happens again.
Thanks
EDIT: spoke to soon
just happened again
Thank you for the updates!
Indeed, this has been narrowed down to invalid data provided by a .gov service against all odds. We have applied our own fix on top of their data, and initial results are positive!
Can you confirm if the situation has improved for you?
Thank you for testing!
We found yet another case of invalid data from the provider, which we have now also added a fix for. Unfortunately, we were also able to reproduce the issue again - now with seemingly valid data.
We’ll have to dig further. We appreciate your patience!
No worries ! I really appreciate the support.
thanks
