ActiveSky on a networked computer

I moved ActiveSky to the same computer that P3Dv5 is running. I run the browser Simbrief on another computer in the network. I did point the Simbrief downloader to the wxsnaphot file.

But when I want to select Historcal weather, I get an error. ‘Could not connect to ActiveSky’

How to solve this?

Hi, if you used to have Active Sky on the networked computer, you may need to undo your custom Active Sky settings.

Please try disabling the custom Active Sky settings in your SimBrief Downloader:

If that doesn’t work, please re-enable the custom Active Sky settings and enter the same values found in the Active Sky “General options” section:

  • Make sure the “HTTP web request port” in Active Sky matches the one in the SimBrief Downloader settings.
  • Make sure the “Common data export path” in Active Sky matches the one in the SimBrief Downloader settings.

But if you are now running Active Sky on the same PC as the SimBrief Downloader, you should not need to customize these settings, and it should just work with the custom SimBrief Downloader settings unchecked (disabled).
