Hello,
It seems that the data sor SIDSTARS in the new version is not well formatted to be used with TuneVNAV Pro3.
Example of an APT data (06FA):
instead of: // 06FA (WILLIAM P.GWINN) // {WHATEVER COPYRIGHT TEXT} // ------------------------------------------------------ // AIRAC Cycle : 0807 (03/JUL/2008 - 30/JUL/2008) - Rev.1 // ------------------------------------------------------
the actual header (for the same APT) is:
// {WHATEVER COPYRIGHT TEXT} //------------------------------------------------------ //AIRAC Cycle : 0909 (27/AUG/2009 - 23/SEP/2009) - Rev.1 //------------------------------------------------------
No APT code and name in the first line as it supposed to be! In fact it is the exact header from the file wpNavAPT.txt
ALSO the following text is missing at the end:
APPROACHES ENDAPPROACHES
GATES ENDGATES
The above problem applies to all APTs. Please make the necessary adjustments.
Regards,
Valerian E Partenie

Hi Valerien, we have no information about any changes from the developer ... The header could be a real problem, because it´s remarked with the \\ ... where should the program know, if it´s a copyright text or something else? Remarks are remarks, so under normal conditions it couldn´t be a real problem ... also the APPROACHES/ENDAPPROACHES, GATES/ENDGATES section. Not all airports have this sections, therefore it´s missing in some files. Till now, we had no report that this is a problem ... What´s the problem with TuneVNAV?

Hi Richard,
Well...I'm the developer of TuneVNAV Pro3...
Therefore, I can tell you that because of the following missing data from the APT files (that in all the previous AIRAC versions were there!) the program crashes.
I'm NOT talking about the copyright text...it is NOT this text that crashes it...
I'm talking about the following lines that HAVE to be there but in this cycle they are missing
// 06FA (WILLIAM P.GWINN) (even they are marked //, TuneVNAV gets the airport name from this line!)
And at the end of the text the following line should be there as they were in ALL the previous cycles :
APPROACHES ENDAPPROACHES
GATES ENDGATES
As a response to your answer "... also the APPROACHES/ENDAPPROACHES, GATES/ENDGATES section. Not all airports have this sections, therefore it´s missing in some files." Even if and airport has or not approaches or gates, the mentioned text NEEDS to be there as in this case where there are no approaches and no gates!
If this adjustment is made, the program works fine.
Regards,
Valerian

LOL ... Ok Valerian, sorry ... I will look into this and will fix it with the next cycle. I´m off for the next 10 days, therefore I can´t make any revision at the moment, but I will solve it when I´m back home. Thank you and thank you for your information
